Founded in 1870, the Metropolitan Museum is located in New York City's Central Park along Fifth Avenue (from 80th to 84th Streets). Nearly five million people visit the Museum each year.

  1. This is a huge building and be prepared to walk a lot...many INTERESTING things go on inside this building other than the artwork...you can even check out movies by independent artists and they are FREE!!!

  4. My sister visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art and declared it a must. I think there was a Van Gogh exhibit when she visited. I would have to time it to see a favorite artist of mine.
