    The Chinese Scholars Garden on the grounds of Snug Harbor is one of New York City's most overlooked gems. It's not crowded by New York City standards, and absolutely beautiful.

    I believe this was meant as a sanctuary (marine hospital) for retired seamen by the founder Captain Robert Richard Randall...beautiful park!!
